» Jaime Herrera considers Congress
Herrera is a Beltway Republican apparatchik who is steeped in the ways of DeLay’s bareknuckle Washington. The national party would love to see her win this seat. The question is can she navigate a 3rd district primary which promises to be chock full of Tea Party voters? Will she be able to convince them she’s one of them when, in fact, she’s the polar opposite? More interestingly, will the Tea Partiers go back on their “principles” in order to win this seat?
I hope she runs, if only to make both the Clark County GOP and the Victoria Taft-led Tea Partiers show their true colors. None of this is about principle. It’s about Power. Herrera is their girl.
